What makes us different
Our Little Loving Care homes truly live up to their name: they are small, welcoming only one or two children in each home which helps us to provide truly personalised, child-centered care; loving and creating warm environments where every child feels valued and cherished. We employ the most caring and compassionate adults who go above and beyond to support each child. We take pride in our unique approach, focusing on understanding how factors like trauma, attachment styles, development, disabilities, and neurodiversity influence behaviours, so we can tailor our care to meet each child’s individual needs.

What Ofsted Have Said - 2022 & 2023

The effectiveness of leaders and managers: Outstanding
‘Inspirational leadership helps children to flourish. A dedicated registered manager leads this home. They are confident that they can change the lives of children through their loving and nurturing model. Leaders and managers provide excellent role models. This results in a culture of positivity and aspiration shared by everyone. The leadership team has high expectations of all staff. They have creative ideas to ensure the highest level of care for their child. The staff receive regular supervision that is of very high quality. Team meetings are well attended. They provide opportunities for reflection and for ideas to be shared across the team. This results in a team who feel valued and highly motivated to deliver exceptional care.’
-
The effectiveness of leaders and managers: Outstanding
‘Staff have an inspiring manager. The manager is very well supported by the responsible individual. The members of this team are effective role models for the staff and are trusted by staff. The staff feel supported by their manager. This helps staff to build their resilience. The manager leads with passion and a commitment to improve the care provided to the child. His practice is evidence based. The manager understands the importance of having thorough and insightful quality assurance systems. The manager is completely invested in the child meeting her full potential, and he spoke proudly of her. He strives to make the care offered as good as it possibly can be. This sometimes means adapting already excellent practices where the manager feels an alternative approach is most suited to the child. As a result, the child is receiving care that is kind, consistent and enables her to thrive.’
-
How well children and young people are helped and protected: Outstanding
‘The risks to the child are fully understood by the staff and documented in risk assessments. These assessments are thorough and detailed documents, helping staff to effectively plan how to both recognise and respond to risk-taking behaviours. Risk assessments use language which is child focused and trauma informed. They highlight the importance of repairing relationships with the child. The child, therefore, does not feel ashamed and knows that the care offered to her is unconditional. The manager has a highly efficient system to track the child’s behaviour each month. This enables a broader understanding of more worrying behaviours and helps keep the child safe. The child is involved in her own safety planning and feels empowered to recognise situations where she could be at risk.’
-
Overall experiences and progress of children and young people: Outstanding
‘Professional care practice by staff exceeds the standard of good. This has resulted in significant improvements to the life of the child who lives at the home. The child has made exceptional progress since she moved in. This is because of the bespoke package of care and therapy she is receiving. She is now able to discuss her emotions with the adults she trusts. She has grown in confidence and self-esteem. She is happy and now enjoys her life. The quality of care is excellent. When children move to the home, they are welcomed with sensitivity. The relationships between the child and staff are exceptional. Staff know the child well, invest quality time with her and listen to her intently. The child is part of the decision-making in the home. This has resulted in the child developing an appropriate sense of belonging and a genuine feeling of being loved.’
